D.I.Y. Hydrangea Floral Arrangements

Okay Ladies, I’m sure most of you know how expensive floral arrangements can be. The more flowers within the arrangement, the more you spend.

So I decided to just try and make my own by watching out for half off sales on floral stems at Joann’s Craft, Hobby Lobby and supplementing the minor pieces within the arrangement from the Dollar Tree.

I picked up the green foam cubes, floral moss, black river rocks, onion grass sprays and some of the taller floral sprays that I built up in the back of the arrangements  from the Dollar Tree.  I purchased the better quality hydrangeas and other floral stems from Hobby Lobby and Joann’s Craft when they had their 50% off sale.  I was able to revamp the dining room arrangement with several hydrangea to make the arrangement more lush.

Hydrangeas are a great way of building up an arrangement without spending a lot of money. You only need 2 to 6 of these stems to make a great full arrangement as oppose to smaller blooms like roses. It took me all of 25 minutes to do each arrangement.

You did a great job with both floral arrangement, they are lovely. Did you get all your flowers from Joann’s?

You’ve done it again! I love, love your outfit. I have a passion for unusual jackets because they can dress up any basic outfit. The floral arrangements are nice as well.

You can find some neat things at the Dollar Tree!!!

These are absolutely stunning! I’ve wanted a floral arrangement for my entryway but figured I’d never get what I wanted because of the high cost. You’re making me think I may be able to tackle this myself!

Wow, those are just amazing and gorgeous! They totally look like a professional florist arranged them!

I did a very simple silk hydrangea arrangement for Spring (yay Joann’s sale!) and I love it. I didn’t use any floral foam though, and I think I need to because it’s a teeny bit lopsided without that. I got some silk plum blossoms too (we have real ones in the garden but I’m scared baby will pull them down and put them in his mouth) for the dining table.

@ I love fresh flowers, maybe you can dry them (hang them upside door and use a drying spray from the craft store or hairspray). I found some really nice blooms at Hobby Lobby. I think they had the best, most realistic looking flowers hands down!
