Funky Little Afro Top

I needed some fun casual tops to wear with my jeans or just pair up with a skirt and do something a little different for my weekend wear.

So I hit up some Junior stores in my area and I found this really fun and adorable afro top. It’s a  pretty easy to wear slipover, that you can layer if you choose.  The back of the top is sweatershirt gray.  I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it and the price was right up my alley.  There was also a white afropuff t-shirt I really wanted but they didn’t have any more in my size. I like the quirkiness of it, it has raised red curly hair.     This top cost me all of $15.

I also found another gem to add to my clutch collection.  This is an amazing emerald green clutch with silver studs.  This clutch has already turned out to be one my work horse staples.  I’ve used this clutch several times since I purchased it a month ago for $13 on clearance.

I hope everybody has a terrific weekend!

    Hi there:

We haven’t heard from you lately. Hope all is well with you. I found out that applying a mixture of organic vinegar and water to the scalp before shampooing is good for thinning hair. I haven’t tried it yet but I did buy the vinegar from GNC.

@ Dee- Thank you for that tip, I’m going to try that. Also Dee if you haven’t done so, please check your iron ferritin level. I found out mine was very low (30) and that could be the culprit and main reason why I’m been shedding and thinning so bad over the past 24 months. You need a ferritin level of 70 and above (for three months steady) in order to stop shedding and to regrow hair. I’m now taking elemental iron supplements to try and get my ferritin above 70, hopefully I will start to see a decrease in shedding and some new hair sprouting up.

I am scheduling a physical tomorrow so I will ask my doctor to test my iron ferrin level. Thanks so much for all of the information. Perhaps there is still hope to for my hair that was once so thick and beautiful.

Good to hear from you. Take Care and keep being fabulous!!

I love how you didn’t stick with the same color palette as the top. It really created a rounded out outfit!
