Miss Tina Shirt Dress and a Spiked Clutch

I went to Walmart to find a water filter and I cut through the clothing section. I saw one of the employees with a rack full of new merchandise. I saw this green dress peeping out at me and I went over and took it off the rack. I loved the color and the fact that it was shirt dress with an undefined waistline. I held up to my body to see how I could make it work.  I picked out a size that was a little bit larger than what I wear so it would fall below my knees and I would be able to belt it with a loose feel.

Love, love, love the dress. It’s mega cute and perfect for someone who is short-waisted and has to shy away from dresses that attempt to define where a woman’s waist should be (which would be in the wrong position for someone who has a short upper body).  Purchasing a free-flowing dress allows you to belt it easily and define the waistline yourself.  I also like that it’s a shirt dress without the buttons, so if I sit down or start walking there won’t be any gaping between the buttons like most shirt dresses.

I have also been looking for a spiked clutch for a long time and I finally found one that was the perfect size and affordable. Both were great buys for me.

I hope everybody has a great week!

I love the dress and I’m looking forward to Miss Tina’s new spring collection. I am having the same problem with the hair lost. I use to have beautiful hair until …. and now my hair is thin and short. I am interested in your approach to the hair lost. Is it working??

@ Dee – As soon as I went into menopause my hormones (estrogen and progesterone) plummeted and now I’m on bio-identical hormones. My hair has been a great source of frustration for me, ever since I went into menopause. I started losing hair (thinning) at an alarming rate. I’m having problems with DHT attacking my hair follicles. When my estrogen and progesterone dropped my testosterone became dominant and testosterone is converting to DHT. I had to request that I not take testosterone as part of my hormone replacement and I take Saw Paletteo Extract 300 mg every day with Beta Sitosterol. I also take Hairomega DHT blocker and Viviscal daily. You have to do a combination of things, because no one pill or method works. It has to be cocktail of different things. I’ve been given a prescription for Procepia but I’m afraid to take it because I don’t want to go through a huge hair shedding event. What I’m doing is working so far.

Get your Vitamin D Level checked and your iron/ferrin level to make sure those are not the culprits for you. Also get your thyroid checked to make sure that’s not the problem as well. You can get a test to determine the conversion rate of testosterone to DHT to see if you are having the same problem as myself. Usually in those cases you are losing hair at the hairline.

Hair loss is so tricky and it’s hard to get a handle on what is really causing it. You can get it under control for a while and then the shedding will start back up again. It’s been a never ending battle for me for the last 2 years. I have lost 50% of my density. It has been very, very distressing because so many things can cause your hair to start thinning, especially at the hairline and a lot of these doctors are clueless about hair loss. You will have to do some serious research on the internet and see if you can identify the same symptoms as the ones you are experiencing by comments from others on the web.

I would recommend you visit hair forums like womenhairlossproject.com and heralopecia.com to try and rule out or determine what is going on and what approach you may need to take. Good luck my dear, I know how stressful this can be! You can email me if you like at budgetchic@yahoo.com, if you need more info. I have gotten a wealth of info since trying to solve my own problem.
